New funding and working closely with Edinburgh City Council

We’re delighted to be working with the Capital City Partnership (CCP) as part of the Network of Employability Support and Training (NEST) Vocational Training within Edinburgh and the surrounding regions.

As part of this, we have been awarded some extra funding which will be used specifically for individuals from Edinburgh, the Lothians and Borders.

While the system is being set up there will be a crossover period but ultimately our participants should only notice an improvement in our service.

An advantage of the current system is the existence of a centralised jobs database that we can conveniently refer our participants to. This database is integrated into a wider community of organizations that can securely share users' details within a controlled environment, enabling them to access necessary services as needed.

As a result of these changes, we have two job announcements. Firstly, we have a vacancy for a Career Coordinator with pRESPECT Hub CIC.

The job will involve interacting with participants in a 1:1 and group format, reviewing CVs, and helping organise the systems within the organisation that will help us develop and grow to help more individuals. There is more information available on our website:

Also, CCP is looking for a Young Start Officer. From their site:

“Working in an integrated service, the Young Start Officer will engage with key stakeholders, a citizen’s panel, and delivery partners (Children1st and CHAI) who are working with the older members of families to tackle poverty and income maximisation.”

Our focus is to provide support for young individuals with ethnic minority backgrounds in accessing services. Additionally, we aim to connect them with employability providers to ensure successful outcomes and positive destinations are achieved.

More details can be found at: here

But you’ll need to be even quicker with this one as the deadline is tomorrow!

You can find more information about CCP and Joined Up for Jobs here and this is one of the main portals for jobs and workshops within this new eco-system.

We are excited to show more news in the coming weeks.
