Career Development training and Paid opportunities

Over the past couple of months, we have worked with partner organisations to create paid opportunities for participants to apply for and gain proactive work experience. These jobs are advertised on our jobs board and open to a fair and transparent application process. The applicants will go through the full application process, including interviews with the employers. Click here for the jobs.

Paid Career Development Opportunities and Jobs

The opportunities are funded by The Scottish Government and the Hunter Foundation, and we aim to equip candidates in the competitive job market through these opportunities. At the same time, we work with individuals on their personal career development, providing in-work progression coaching.

We now have several opportunities available to people from ethnic minority backgrounds looking to get real-world work experience.

Most of our participants (especially if they’ve also gone through our 8 Module Career Accelerator Course) have moved on to full-time permanent employment, often even before the end of their contract with us (which we encourage).

They work with clients worldwide in various business sectors to provide accurate research, data and comprehensive analysis for their business solutions and decision making.

Bayile Adeoti is the founder of Dechomai. As an expert in the hospitality industry, she aims to empower female BMEs across all experience levels by providing mentoring and progressive training designed to bridge the gap between employment and educational achievement for the BME community. The organisation also offers a blend of events and scholarships.

Dechomai is looking for a motivated and organised admin and social media assistant to join their team for a six month fixed contract starting immediately.

Has two roles available with training to enhance the candidates experience.

The assistant team leader’s role is to provide executive support such as full administrative and secretarial duties to the managing director, as well as ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

They act as a go between for the different departments and the director and also work on maintaining the brand standard across all departments and projects, they also work with the director on enhancing productivity and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.

Won Connect second job

They’re looking for a confident and organised person to join their team as a marketing and communication assistant. This is a six-month part-time role for assisting the department head in communication work and other marketing disciplines in a busy and growing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for people who want to advance their career skill set and gain some experience in the creative digital industry.


Jezreel in Glasgow is a Consultancy Company providing personal development workshops, employability, enterprise workshops, intrapreneurial, entrepreneurial, management, leadership skills and project management.

This employment support course is fully funded and free for ethnic minority job seekers and low-income people looking for support with gaining sustainable and progressive jobs.
